APPLICATION OF MULTIPLE CRITERIA DECISION MAKING METHODS IN CONSTRUCTION: A SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW

Decision making is a key to business or project success in any sectors, especially construction that requires handling numerous information and knowledge. Multiple criteria decision (MCDM) an important tool for problem solving due simultaneous consideration of multiple objectives. Various MCDM methods are continually emerging tend be increasingly adopted address the real-world problems. Therefore, it urged systematically review existing body literature demonstrate evolution mainstream general their application status construction. A total 530 articles published from 2000 2019 selected this study then categorized into seven major areas using novel systematic (SLR) methodology. The bibliometric analysis used describe research trend. Subsequently, qualitative discussion by themes conducted analyze further makes possible identify potential challenges (e.g. applicability, robustness, postpone effect, dynamic prospective scale problem) research.
